AN ACT TO AMEND THE OFFICE ON MISSING PERSONS (ESTABLISHMENT, ADMINISTRATION AND DISCHARGE OF FUNCTIONS) ACT, NO. 14 OF

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:-

Short title.
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Office on Missing Persons (Establishment, Administration and Discharge of Functions) (Amendment) Act, No. 9 of 2017.
|
|
Amendment of section 11 of Act, No. 14 of 2016.
|
2. Section 11 of the Office on Missing Persons (Establishment, Administration and Discharge of Functions) Act, No. 14 of 2016 is hereby amended as follows:-
|
(1) by the repeal of paragraph (a) of that section; and
|
|
(2) by the renumbering of paragraphs (b), (c), (d) and (e) of that section as paragraphs (a), (b), (c) and (d).

|
Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency.
|
3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
