AN ACT TO AMEND THE FINANCE ACT, NO. 35 OF 2018

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:-

Short title.
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Finance (Amendment) Act, No. 2 of 2020.
|
|
Amendment of section 36 of Act, No. 35 of 2018.
|
2. Section 36 of the Finance Act, No. 35 of 2018 is hereby amended in subsection (1) thereof, by the substitution for the words and figures "ending on December 31, 2021," of the words and figures "ending on December 31, 2019,".

Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency.
|
3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
