CEMETERIES AND BURIAL GROUNDS
Marginal Notes
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Cemeteries and Burials Ordinance.*(* Primary Court has exclusive jurisdiction in respect of all offences under this Ordinance under Section 33 of the Judicature Act read with Gazette Extraordinary No. 43/4 of 1979-07-02. + Repealed by Ordinance No, 9 of IS99.)
2. Existing Proclamations, regulations. notices by-laws, & c. to be in force until repealed.
3. Interpretation.
4. Proclamations, & c., to be published in Gazette.
5. Minister may establish cemetery;
6. Lands to be provided for the purpose.
7. Sale of closed burial grounds prohibited. [5, 12 of 2005]
8. Cemetery to be at a distance from houses.
9. Chapels, & c, may be built.
10. Cemetery to be enclosed.
11. Appropriation of the cemetery.
12. Cemetery to be used for burials or cremations only. [5, 12 of 2005]
13. Clerk in holy orders may perform services.
14. Corpse not to be removed without authority.
